Hey my 22nd is comin up on friday 7th april and i need to sort sumthin out quick!!!!
i wanna do something cheap but classy! like a bar cos then usually no entry fee, that plays good RnB, Hiphop and commercial stuff too, was thinking of CC club but is #10 entry and we're students! Abacus is another idea but is it free to get in? And last time i went there the bouncers were very difficult at letting us in even though on guestlist but it was a laugh!

Dos anyone know anything bout soho lounge like what kind of music it plays and wot the crowd is like, and any entrance fee?

Cheers guys!

Hi Vidbiz,

Welcome to The Knowledge!

As you know "Cheap" and "London Friday Night" rarely sit next to each other in the same sentence!

But Soho Lounge maybe a good start, it's free to get in before 9pm and then between £5 and £15 thereafter. (Click here to read user reviews of the venue.)

You can also sort through the various club nights on All In London in our clubnights section here: All In London Club Nights
(Entry to these vary from £5 to £20, and so there's something for every budget.)

Hope this helps.

All the best,

Hello There,

Just a quick note to say, my recommended cheap night out in London would have to be Moonlighting Club over on Greek Street, Soho, W1. They have an immense student following with drinks cheaper than most pubs anywhere in the UK. Plus they do operate student discounts at the door on various nights, you can call the club and request a guestlist if you like.

Have a good one!
Cool Dude

P.S. It's one of the few places in Soho that still operates an All Urban music policy without looking like a scene from 8 mile.

I recently went to Soho Lounge with some mates and it was fantastic. Very classy, intimate vibe with lots of comfy seating areas where you can chill out and relax. Music was mostly rnb and hip hop, with some old skool disco thrown in for good measure towards the end of the night. The dancefloor is quite small however, and tends to get crowded by about 11.30, and, as with most central London clubs it seems, there were a few posers who were more intent on trying to get noticed than doing any actual dancing. The best thing about Soho Lounge though, is that it's a bit out of the way, so you don't get the typical 'Leicester Square crowd'(read: chav 18yr olds!!), and the bouncers and bar staff are v. friendly. Also it's free entrance b4 9 on a Sat night on the guestlist. Be warned though that drinks are fairly pricey, about £5 for bottled beer, £7-9 for cocktails. So my advice; get on the guestlist, get there early to claim a sofa, and be prepared to party with a classy and up-for-it weekend crowd. Hope this has been useful!
