Mat's Angling

This is a really nice angling shop. It looks small and unassuming from the outside
but I must say I had a wonderful shopping experience when I entered . The elderly gentleman behind the counter was courteous without being fawning and allowed me time to browse. I eventually purchased a landing net and keepnet both of premium quality and keenly priced. This is a great shop and surprisingly well stocked with tackle. It deserves a five star rating.

I have only been fishing for the last six months and I have been meaning to pay Matt's Angling a visit, as it is my local angling shop. Today, I made the effort and did it. Very friendly, most helpful and nothing is too much trouble, even when I ask very basic questions. I will be back - often!

Dear Mat and Co-worker,
Thank you for the fireworks I brought for my grand-daughter's birthday party - they were spectacular. True to your advice, they lasted and lasted - in fact, we only used one box although I had purchased 2. There is now a spare box for another occasion. The very large ones shot way up into the sky and gave an amazing display. In fact, it was so spectacular all the neighbours came out to watch. And you gave fair and reasonable advice with no oversell. I have now earned the nickname 'Gandalf'. Much appreciation, Patricia

stumbled on this shop by chance been trying to find an angling shop in the area for quite a while, great service, great prices, great staff and the quality of the homemade bait is second to none, now a regular customer cant complain

Not full of glits and glamour, but stuff that realy works. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff go out of there way to explain things and as said previously don't sell you all the expensive things you don't need. But if there is something you need they can generally get it. Have live fresh maggots delivered every week, so I have never had a problem. Cracking little shop.

A very good tackle shop, I find the staff very helpful and friendly. I have just switched from match to carp fishing and the staff there help me loads they give me loads of good advice and sort me out all the right bits and pieces, and not all the expensive stuff or things I don't need either! all which helped me catch my first carp. All in all an excellent little shop and I would recommend them to anyone.
