6th February 2018 marked 100 years since the Representation of the People Act which granted suffrage to women over 30 across the UK and Ireland.
This exhibition will explore Jewish, women, emigre artists who were affected by the Holocaust. Using works from the Ben Uri collection, the project will consider how circumstances contributed to their relative obscurity, and aims to locate these artists within the greater narrative of British art history from which they have so often been excluded.
