This new, fast-paced, fun-packed musical version of the famous West African and Caribbean folk tale, runs for 5 weekends from Sat 16 March - Sun 14 April. TWO shows every Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and 4pm.

It tells the story of Anansi the Spider - by far the naughtiest creature in the Village - and his constant rivalry with Tukkuma the Dragonfly. When their friend Aso the Butterfly tries to settle their dispute, a visit to Naana Nature in the forest sets them off on a mission to complete three tasks - and to finally prove who is the best creature in Jamaica! But look out for the Pest-Controller! Perhaps only by working together can they save the Village from the dreaded pest-controller!

Written by Lavern Archer (of Blue Mountain Theatre Company) and Jonathan Kaufman, the show is the 8th family show staged UPSTAIRS AT THE SYDENHAM CENTRE since Spring 2017.

Presented by SPONTANEOUS PRODUCTIONS THEATRE COMPANY it features original songs by Paul Tornbohm, and an all-black cast including Jimand Allotey, Laura Lake Adebisi and Paul-D Stephenson. There's a special guest appearance on video by Lavern Archer as 'Naana Nature.'
