As its name suggests, children will fine lego models and lego-themed attractions galore at this theme park, which is situated within close proximity of Windsor Castle. The park opened in 1996 with the aim of entertaining children aged 3 to 12. Miniland features lego representations of famous cities and their landmarks, Traffic has lego cars waiting to be driven while Duplo Land caters to the youngest visitors. Aside from the themed areas there are boats, rollercoasters, miniature trains, trampolines and a climbing wall, and visitors can play golf on the 18-hole golf course or have a cartoon drawn of themselves. There’s plenty in terms of food, with a Mexican cantina, BBQ ribs eatery, fried chicken joint, pizzeria and the Duplo Family Restaurant – but fear not, the food is all real. If you’re looking to embark on a short break, there are numerous hotels in the area due to Legoland’s short distance from Heathrow Airport, some of which offer special deals in conjunction with the theme park. Legoland is open between April and October, look out for special events, particularly during the school holidays, that include firework displays, motorbike stunts and a circus.

This is a great day out, although PLEASE search everywhere for vouchers and offers before coming as its extortionate if you pay the full walk-up price. There's always a 2for1 or similar available if you look hard enough. The new Duploland splash park was a real hit with our group; take your swimming costumers and towels!
