One of London’s Top 100 Restaurants 2013

Min Jiang at the Royal Garden Hotel serves classic Chinese cuisine like Beijing duck and dim sum. The restaurant is at position 34 on this year’s list. We caught up with Senior Wok Chef Weng Han Wong.

Signature dishes at the restaurant are beef with black pepper, gong bao prawn, and crispy squid with salt pepper and chilli. In the kitchen, Wong could not live without his wok and sharp knives. His last meal would have to be freshly caught seafood.

In terms of dining out, he checks out the competition by eating at Hakkasan and China Tang. His most valuable experience as a chef has been “having the opportunity to try and experiment with a wide array of ingredients.”
