Jade to Close Ugly

Jade Goody, star of Big Brother four years ago has announced that she is about to close her beauty salon, cunningly named Ugly. With a name like that, sceptics thought that it was bound to be a disaster but it seems that less than a year after it opened, Jade is shutting up shop for reasons other than cash flow.

The star put more than £50,000 of her own money into the salon and has denied rumours that she is closing up because the salon in debt. An insider has said: "Jade swears the parlour's not in debt…she is closing it because a nightclub has bought the property above her and she thought that would be a concern for the business.”

Despite this statement, other insiders have been stating that they felt the salon was too expensive and that it has not been as successful as she had thought it would be. A friend has said: "She's gutted…she realises her TV fame and fortune will dry up and thought Ugly's would be a long-term investment."
