Social Eating House gains a Michelin star

Five months after opening the acclaimed eatery gains a Michelin star.

After opening in April 2013, Paul Hood at Social Eating House has been awarded a coveted Michelin star, published in the 2014 Michelin Guide to Great Britain and Ireland. The Michelin guide is arguably the most revered restaurant guide amongst chefs, restaurant critics and guests alike.

Paul Hood joined Gordon Ramsay’s Maze as sous chef where he first met Jason Atherton. When Atherton launched his first solo restaurant Pollen Street Social in 2011, Hood moved with him and was appointed as head chef. Hood heads up the kitchen at Social Eating House, Jason Atherton’s second London restaurant.

Hood comments about the results, “A Michelin star is an incredible accomplishment for the Jason Atherton group. I am so proud of my team who have worked so hard over the last five months to achieve this.”

Social Eating House is an informal and affordable dining experience in Soho with a contemporary bistro menu paying homage to the best of British cooking with international influences.
