Being located at the very end of the Northern Line means Barnet is hardly a hub of activity, however once upon a time it was an important pit stop for people travelling between London and the north via the Great North Road. Today Barnet has a villagey feel and is fairly self-contained thanks to a shopping centre, cinema, arts centre and a number of coffee shop chains and fast food eateries. That aside, there is next to nothing for young people to do here as it’s largely a residential area for those who wish to be away from the bustle of the city.
