Affluent Kingston is renowned for its shopping, with a mixture of high street shops and more expensive boutiques lining the town centre’s main streets, as well the Bentall shopping centre, containing several large department stores. There are numerous chic restaurants and bars, with the liveliest being located by the river. There is plenty in terms of culture too – catch a play at the Rose Theatre, classical concert at All Saints Church or visit one of Kingston’s annual arts festivals. Despite its lack of a tube, Kingston is well connected thanks to the overground running to Waterloo and Richmond, a multitude of buses and riverboat services running to Westminster and Hampton Court.
