Derived from the name ‘Willesdune’ which means ‘The Hill of the Spring’, Willesden as a district, has a history of settlements dating back as early as 939 AD.
Situated in the London Borough of Brent, Willesden is a popular location in North West London that has seen a huge growth in population, in recent years. It wasn’t until approximately 1875 that Willesden became more than a rural location.
As with many other North West London districts, the new railway that was added around the end of the 19th century resulting in a population boom that has continued to present times. Today, it is popular with people of all ages who appreciate the wealth of restaurants and bars as well as the excellent transport links to the city centre.
