I went here a few times, its like stepping into an authentic Ghanaian "chop bar". Staff are very welcoming, and there's quite a selection of delicious West African dishes from the table to get started with. If in doubt, get the Buffet menu, you only get to fill the plate once, but there is no limit on how high you pile up the food, so go for it! Would recommend to my friends! I have no idea about the first two posters' experiences, mine have all been pleasant, and tasty! Wishing Finger Licking all the success in the world, London would benefit more from more Ghanaian cuisine!

Glad to be able to add a recent review as others are very old.
A welcoming, friendly and lively environment. A buffet was apparent on arrival but cleared away at 6pm.
We said what we wanted - goat, egusi and fufu. Not sure if there was a menu.
Service was fast and efficient. Food was tasty although some would prefer more chilli. Goat was tender and no grisle.
Music was lively and fun maybe some would like it slightly quieter.
A constant stream of folk coming and going.
Toilet is in the adjoining bar (same business).
I will definitely be back to try the chicken and beef. Range of fish also on offer.
Maybe the owner has changed since the 2006 reviews.

I was interested in trying Ghanaian food, so I called this place, as I live on the other side of Croydon. The woman who runs it answered, while clearly shouting at her staff at the same time. Then she turned to me. Our conversation, which was short and aggressive:
Her: What?
Me: Is that Finger Licking?
Her: What you want?
Me: I wanted to know if you served dinner, and when the kitchen shuts.
Her: Who are you?
Me: My name is Ross, I quite fancied trying Ghanaian food...
Her: So what you want?
Me: I wanted to know if you were open this evening.
Here: Yes.
Me: When does the kitchen shut please?
Here: 8 o'clock
<she hangs up>
Needless to say, I am now not going there, and never will.

This restaurant was visited out of curiosity---but to my dismayed-it was the wrong kind of curiosity. This 'restaurant' was very small and the service was very abrupt....not welcoming at all. Food was a ok-ish--in my opinion---very poor value for money.
I felt that i was supposed to hurry up and eat....Manager(female) was extremely rude to a number of customers---and i felt that this out of order when customers are paying for a good service.
Would i eat here again....the answer is NO!
