The Golden Union Fish Bar is an independent, family-run business owned by Billy Drew. When we opened in August 2008, Billy set out to create an authentic-feeling British chippy with a modern twist. From the beginning we’ve worked hard to give every single customer great quality home-made food and fast, friendly service.

To celebrate the British fave, fish and chips, and serve it in a relaxed, authentic atmosphere. We believe that the best fish and chips should always mean tasty home-cooked food that won’t break the bank.

All our traditional favourites - fish chips, pies, fishcakes and sides - are of the finest quality and cooked to order. And we’re fully licensed, which means you can enjoy a beer or wine with your meal if you can’t quite fit in a home-made milkshake!

Our fish bar heritage means we’re also great value for money and our special offers make meals even more affordable.

Decided to try this place last Friday after walking around trying to pick somewhere for lunch. Very pleasantly surprised, very clean, food excellent, licenced!!, stay very hospitable. The fish cakes probably the best we have ever tasted. It was bunged soon after we arrived so get in early at feeding times lol :-)

What a fantastic venue. Food, service and atmosphere I would give a BIG 10/10.
My friends and family go often and we have always had a great experience, some times using the take-away service.
They are even showing the World cup games.
Not to be missed, add this one to your favorite restaurants.
