The Fire Station

After being a couple of years back to the main restaurant bit I wasn't that impressed - on the same lines as the other reviews, I thought the food was too expensive for what it was. The bar was also heaving then. This time though I went on a Thursday night fully expecting it to be rammed again but was pleasantly surprised to find there was a buzz but room enough for us easily to get a table. We also opted for the bar menu this time and this seemed to be very reasonable this time. I had a gourmet-style veggie burger and thick-cut chips for £8.75 which seemed fair enough. Having avoided it for a couple of years, I'd now go again (but would stick to bar-food!).

I am annoyed to say I visited this place last night.

Ridiculous pricing for low quality food with side orders of potatoes and veg costing even more- this is perhaps unnecessary.

There is no way that bad food should cost this much- or in fact that food should ever really be this bad.

Places like this need to remember they are not doing the customer a favour by serving them food, it is how they make their money!

I would gladly picket outside here to stop fututre customers wasting an hour of their lives'.

Very lively pub, great for after work beers. The food is good but not exactly cheap.
