I went to The Bramley Room for my work Christmas do and it was the most awful experience ever. It took one and half hours for a starter to appear and then another hour for our main course. When we complained to the manager he was very rude and aggressive. We left early without having our dessert and the entertainment still hadn't started - it was 11.20pm!! I will never set foot in this restaurant again.

We booked our christmas outing and were badly let down by this restaurant. Food was terrible, we waited nearly two hours between our starters and our main course. When we enquired about this we got no response. When we began to complain to the manager, he was rude and abusive. It was a huge let down and I will never return.

The staff who were serving were polite and tried to be helpful. But it seemed like they had no power over what was happening.

A group of us visited this restaurant very recently. We were placed at tables by the entrance and it was freezing, no consideration was given to the effect this could have on a person's health. The décor was poor and the tables were not decorated aside from extremely cheap crackers which contained miniature plastic animals. The Xmas Menu shown on their website was not what we received although we were charged the full £30.00 each. Food was of a poor standard. Service was very slow. We received free bottles of house wine, however, when these were finished and we ordered wine; we were charged an extortionate amount a bottle for the same wine. A colleague brought these issues to the attention of the manager, he was very rude and uncompromising. The high points of this disastrous evening was the music which was very varied and well put together. The DJ was friendly and polite. Other staff were pleasant and demonstrated some humour and a sense of fun. Needless to say, despite this, we will not be returning to the Bramley Rooms.
