BOWLS. is all about those comforting dishes that just don’t quite work on plates. Dishes to hold, to pick from and pass around, packed with layered flavours and unique ingredient combinations.

BOWLS.Soho’s menu is seasonal, featuring a selection of bowls, big and small from the Caribbean, South America and South East Asia. Bowls include ‘Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Jollof rice a La Cubana, Quail’s Egg and Fried Banana’; Peruvian ceviche bowls selection and Southeast Asian-inspired dishes, and ‘Zari-pho’, our signature pho with glass noodles’. Also on the menu will be grilled, ethically-sourced meat alongside super nourishing soups, the freshest salad and eye-rollingly delectable desserts.

Cocktails are also a big feature and a range of signature sips have been created to pair perfectly with specific dishes, options include ‘Aloha Royal’ - Rhubarb Liqueur, Peychaud’s Bitters, Prosecco and the ‘#incrediBowl Negroni’ - Campari, Appleton Blanco, St. Germa

This is one new opening that literally does what it says on the tin…

Soho’s BOWLS moved into the St Anne’s Court slot vacated by Billy and the Chicks in early December, bringing its unique brand of comforting dishes that don’t quite work on plates. The menu is a a journey round the globe, featuring bowls big and small from the cuisines of the Caribbean, South America and South East Asia.

With punch-packing flavours like Jamaican jerk chicken, Peruvian ceviche and seafood laksa, the menu also includes ethically-sourced meat, nourishing soup and fresh crisp salads.The vibrant exterior hides a snug little restaurant perfect for a lunch date and with a pre-theatre menu available (3 courses for £19) it’s a great option for a speedy supper.

Popping in for a super-speedy lunch, we quickly came to the conclusion it’s worth a visit for the miso glazed aubergine alone, drizzled with tahini yoghurt and served with roasted peppers and a walnut pesto that work perfectly in sync with the smokiness. Courgette tempura fries can be hit or miss, often erring on the soggy side, I’m pleased to report BOWLS’ were quite on the contrary.

With so many different flavours on the menu it’s hard to pick what to try. The tuna poke bowl I tried wasn’t amazing, a tad bland in its flavour and probably not one I’d go for again, though with bowls of bibimbap, miso cod and braised beef cheeks with polenta on the menu, there’s plenty to go back for.
