This used to be a regular when I lived in dalston until all the hipsters destroyed the soul of the place. It was great totally authentic Cantonese cuisine and authentic menu, yes I am. The staff where great and very friendly. We have now come back just because it's not too far away still and the food is still the same great authentic Cantonese cuisine... Love their razor clams with soya chillie and vermicelli dressing and baowong gai (chicken)

Well let's see. Me and 3 of my friends went for dinner and although the food was good they charged a ridiculous price for the portions we got. I could have ordered a takeaway for less and got more (trust me I know)
Their food is hit and miss. Decent in terms of taste and quality at the best of times but generally poor.
I used to order the oxtail but after receiving a box of oxtail which contained almost no meat and mostly fat I gave up with this place.
Chans noodle bar is right next door and is better priced and has good food. I can't be bothered to risk it with new taste anymore.

I went to New Tastes with my mother last night, and we had the place to ourselves- the staff were friendly and relaxed, the food was freshly cooked, delicious and relatively healthy, with plenty of vegetables. The prices were reasonable, and I definately plan to return. The decor is totally basic, but this is just a simple cafe- it's a perfectly nice space to be in.
