Unpretentious and popular with Chinese locals, the food is good and quite authentic. Dim Sum at lunch is good value,as is the roast duck or crispy belly pork with rice (on the dinner menu) at £5 and is almost enough for two!
Recently renovated but they didn't seem to get as far as the toilets which are dated and a bit grim.
Overall though, this remains a reliable old favourite of mine. Not great, but does the job.
My perfect day out is browsing the book shops in Charing Cross Road, followed by Dim Sum lunch at New Loon Fung, then watching the latest shallow, brainless Hollywood blockbuster in next door Leicester Square: an artier film would adversely affect the digestion of all the Nor Mai Gai, Cheung Fung and other dumplings.
New Loon Fung Chinese Restaurant serve a variety of Chinese dishes throughout the day.
