The food was very good as always but we had to wait an hour and half to be served our order. We would have left if it had not been for the fact that our guests had come all the way from Essex. It ruined the evening.

"My favourite Indian restaurant”

The menu was interesting and unusual, and everything we ordered was delicious. The staff were very attentive, and came to check with us that the food had been ok when one of our party didn't manage to finish all of their main course. They showed genuine concern for the quality of the food.

Finally, the bill was entirely reasonable. Perhaps a little more pricey than an average Indian but definitely well worth it. Can't praise this place highly enough!

Everytime I go to London on business/holiday I have to eat at this restaurant as it is brilliant. I love the food and the service and can recommend it to anyone who is out for a great indian meal. This time around I realized the restaurant has been refurbished and expanded which makes it even more cozy and nice. Great place to bring the full family as they have meals that suit every stomach. It is recommended however to book a table at it is very full on fridays and saturdays and is a well known and popular restaurant all around London. I wish spice society good luck with the newly refurbished establishment. I wish this restaurant was in West End as that is usually where I stay when I am in London. Beckenham is priviliged to have a restaurant such as Spice Society, thank you and see you in february.

Have just returned home from this lovely, newly furnished restaurant. Thankfully we had almost finished the food when an unexpected, four legged friend - ran through the restaurant, we called him Ratty. We waited for an apology, we expected something to be mentioned, nothing. As we left saying how disappointed we had not received any compensation - we were told we would be 'looked' after next time! Well I'm sorry there really won't be a next time.

went for the first time to this resturant tonight, fine if you like everything covered in CRESS, honest i couldnt believe it, the food was tastless and barely passed as a curry. we ordered a side dish of sagg aloo there were no potatoes in it and it was like tinned spinach with and again CRESS. The waiters were either miserable or intrusive. when we arrived there were only one other couple in the resturant and they sat us a table away from them so didn't feel you could have a conversation as you could hear what the other table were saying. asked us at least 5 times if we were ok for drinks and waiters did a lap of the resturant so many times a bit off putting when your tying to eat. very dissapointed in this indian resturant.
