On the rumour mill the Rajdoot has been taken over by a son and daughter in the family. When I went last week, the atmosphere was electric, beautiful new decorations, friendly staff, and most importantly the food was absolutely delicious and well priced. There's a new menu, including a set menu. Will I go again? Absolutely.

Overkooked tasteless food, cold, small overpriced portions. My husband and I were really disappointed with everything. We never had to add pepper and salt to a an Indian dish until we went to this place. I rated it 1 and that's generous.

Amazing food, very good quality meat; no nasty bits of fat or gristle. Caters very well to those who love spicy food and those who hate it, warm cosy atmosphere, alsmost like a small english pub but a good deal cleaner and quieter, also decent service. However, is quite expensive but the food is very much worth it. Portions are also generous!

We have just moved to Wimbledon and we had very high hopes for the Rajdoot, having seen some reviews and given its prominent position in Wimbledon village. We visited on Saturday 21st August and were bitterly disappointed - indifferent food and unfriendly, aloof service. Maybe we're spoilt, having lived in Epsom, where there are several superb Indian restaurants close by, but this restaurant falls a very long way short.

I had dinner at Rajdoot with my daughter on a Monday evening - not booked, we both just happened to be in the area - and the food was excellent.
So good, in fact, that I returned with work colleagues for dinner on Tuesday.
Slight negative; there is an imbalance between the main ingredient of a dish and the accompanying amount of sauce. I'm sure this is a portion control issue, but it does waste quite a bit of sauce.
Definite positives; the raita was superb. The king prawns in the different dishes I had on each evening were beautiful - not rubbery at all. Actually they were more like baby lobsters trying to grow up ! My companions on both evenings were equally complimentary about their lamb and chicken dishes. It's also very nice to see dishes on the menu (e.g. my king prawn choices) that don't appear on your average Indian restaurant selection.
Price per person was about £20 which included pappadums, rice, naan and a beer.
Would I go back? Yes, definitely.
