Golden Curry

Came Here with my boyfriend for a birthday evening meal,Waiters were pushy & Food was ok but too overpriced,at the end we Requested for ALL our paid for leftovers to be bagged up to take with us,to find Most of it missing when we Arrived home - V.Disappointing!!! Won't Visit again nor recommend!!!

I have just read the three reviews about this restaurant on this site. Two out of the three look like they have been written by the owner, utterly unbelievable.
Here's the truth...this is an OK High Street Indian restaurant, there's nothing wrong with it at all, but there is nothing remarkable either. I wouldn't rush from Tooting to eat here, but it's fine as part of a low key evening out.
I have read reviews elsewhere about Golden Curry, moaning that the waiters oversell. It's true and it's annoying. Ask them politely not to keep asking you to buy more beer and the management might eventually get it.

The food here is delicious, you can really taste the freshness. the service is fantastic and the waiters are friendly. always a good meal and a good evening.

While I would agree with the previous review that the food was excellent, the waiters took the opportunity to upsell in this restaurant rather too seriously. It would be helpful if the waiters concentrated on ordering what the customer wanted, rather than offering him / her the rest of the menu that he / she had not ordered yet. I realise that upselling is good restauranteuring practice, but it is possible to take it too far and disgruntle the customer.

But nevertheless, excellent food, so 5/10

I haven't had such a good curry for a long time; both the food and service was excellent. For once I could actually taste real spices as opposed to lots of aditives and the portions were huge! It was great too, that the waiters didn;t stand over our table waiting to pounce as soon as we laid a fork down! Great curry house, would definatley recommend it.
