Weve been eating from Chatkhara since 1999 and have never had food come even close from any other restaurants and trust me we've tried most in London and abroad, The Spinach lamb ( saag ghost) is to die for, the jalfezi chicken and kema dishes are always fabulous, naan is made fresh as you order so always brilliant, not sure what some of these other reviewers have been eating but we always end up back at chatkhara. Keep up the great food guys ! A1 stuff

We always use Chatkhara for takeaways.... Their vegetable samosas are delicious and when we have parties we always call ahead to order 40-50 at one time. The curries are a little bland but we find the staff are always very helpful and polite.

when we went to chatkhara I was really disappointed with the quality of food, the chicken tikka was stale chicken with a horrid smell which we had to leave and the lamb biryanni left much to be desired, the only good thing about the meal was the naan bread.

Having said that I went to a party which was catered for by them and the food was fantastic infact that was the reason we went to eat there.

Maybe they make an effort when u order catering from them because the food we were served up in the restaurant was stale and tasteless.

The food is cheap and cheeful however you get what you pay for. I ordered a Lamb Biryani and got a plateful of rice piled up and hardly any meat in it. What I did get was mostly bones. The Keema Naan my friend ordered has no mince meat in it. His chicken curry was tastless and bland. The service was unfriendly and it does feel like they were cutting corners. I have to say Tooting Bec High Street has a multitude of good cheap curry houses and I would say give Chatkhara a wide berth and try one of the others which are so much better.
