Bengal Berties

Bengal Berties is our local and it's fantastic. The food is authentic, beautifully cooked and tastes great. The staff are friendly and greet us like family members.

Ordered from here on a Saturday night, and was delivered with 30 minutes which was good. However when it came to the actual curry things weren't up to par. The chicken on my Kashmir was rubbery,the saag panir was very dry, all 3 of our breads were burnt, and the capsicum bhaji was tasteless. Avoid.

Not a big fan. I have been twice so don't think it's just a bad experience. I'm not too picky on my curry as long as it tastes good and is fairly hot, but the chicken tasted like hard plastic and the the curry was both times so watered down it looked like a light brown gravy on the plate. It tasted bland. The service is lacking in some respects too. Much prefer our local on Holloway Rd.

Not too great. Ordered side of Onion Bhaji's for a table of 3. They brought out 2 onion bhaji's, I asked if they could bring out 1 more as there were 3 of us and they said "yes no problem" but needless to say they brought out a plate with 2 more and charged us for both at the end.

I didn't know what to go for so asked for their recommendation of something sweet, they recommended a persian dish which was not sweet just very HOT!

It wasn't until the end of the meal that my friend pointed out they had mouse traps situated around the restaurant! We were the only customers in that night (a Saturday night) and we were not local so perhaps people know something we don't.

There can be no better curry house in North London.Dishes have an authentic flavour and are well presented. The accommodation in the restaurant is quite comfortable.I'd love the owners to open somewhere away from the Archway Road as parking is a bit of a pain.However it must be said that to follow your meal with a good pint of ale in the nearby Winchester is another plus.

We love Bengal's, been our local four years and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

This place is the best! The food is excellent and the kitchen is clean and tidy, as the staff actually allowed us in to have a look. The waiting staff are friendly and more than able to help you order the correct food. Gosh, sometimes we just tell them to suprise us and they come up tops every time. I would recommend them with out any doubt as at this little restaurant excellent service rings true. Congrats guys and see you tonight!

If you live in north london forget about going to brick lane, its the best curry i've had in london!

me and my family love this restaurant, the staff are lovely and the food is gorgeous.

We have only had deliveries from this restaurant, not eaten there. However, the food is always excellent and that have a very good choice. The staff speak good English (this really does matter when you are ordering by phone) and the prices are reasonable bt they did jump up at the beginning of 2009.

Overll pleasant location, however disappointing service and fairly average food.
Will probably only go back if someone else pays.

Excellent friendly service and really tasty food. We are vegetarian and highly recommend the balti dishes (vegetable and mushroom) and the bhindi bhajii. Overall amazing value.
