If you you are visiting a South Bank attraction then this is a great restaurant - the service is quick and efficient. However, if you want a relaxing or romantic meal then i would think twice. The sound is deafening and you can't hear a word your partner is saying, only the loud chatter of others. You feel like others are on top of you. It is also very hot so bring a t-shirt or something light to wear.

Visited Strada on the lunchtime of 10th July. Was seated quickly outside. Had to wait for a menu. Two elderly ladies at the next table left disgruntled as had waited ages for their order to be taken. Our drinks arrived and we ordered. Two people came to the table beside us, were served, ate their meal, paid, left and we still had no food. Asked a waiter to check the situation. He never returned. Waited again. Asked another waiter to check the situation. He never returned. Waited again. Went to the front desk to complain. We had been there an hour! This time I watched as the waitress chacked, She returned to say our food was not ready. We left. When we first arrived the restaurant was empty inside and there seemed plenty of staff so there was no excuse. If there was a problem with our order this was not communicated. Rating of 1 star given only because 0 was not one of the options available.

visited strada last night, great venue on the south bank with wonderfull views. Was packed out, but the service was top class. Sadly the food quality did not match the service, with a very poorly cooked piece of chicken. Overall very dissapointing.

Obviously pretty similar to the other Strada's in the chain, but with the added benefit of great views over the Southbank and the river.. I went with girlfriends just wanting to natter and they were really good at just letting us get on with it. We were there for 3 hours and never once felt rushed/pressured to leave, despite three of us only spending £45 between us. I guess on the flip-side, if you were in a hurry, I'm not sure how quick they'd be to take your order, bring coffees, the bill etc.., but for us it was all ideal!
Have your say
