Chez Lalee

Excellent Mexican restaurant, small and romantic. Food is authentic and flavourful, service friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed this and will definitely be returning. Menu is fairly small, but caters from most tastes, including vegetarian. Highly recommended for a quiet intimate meal out, or for a small group of friends.

I'm from Texas and know Mexican very well. I have to say the food here was surprisingly good. We tried the Nachos Rancheros and Stuffed Jalepenos for starters. They were excellent in taste. The salsas are very flavorful and the guacamole spot on. For my main I tried the beef chimichanga. It has an excellent flavor and does not disappoint. Unfortunately, I did not try the margaritas because I was driving -- this prevents me from giving a 10. The place is slightly pricey, but reasonable for the posh area. It's small but very comfortable. If you go here, I recommend you sit upstairs for the nice view.

I am from the U.S., and so Mexican food is a popular cuisine. The biggest marker to judge a Mexican restuarant, is first off, by the quality of it's Margharita. Unfortunately, the ones at Chez Lalee were very disappointing. Yes they were big, but they were so sweet that they were undrinkable. We had the Chimichanga's, which tasted good, but unfortunately, the centers were not heated fully, and were cool. Unfortunately overall disappointing.
