Cafe Sol Dos

I read lots of bad reviews before going here for staff xmas meal last night. It was GREAT. Everybody loved the food, the service was perfect, atmosphere was great. And when they moved the tables and pumped the music up, it was just a great fun place to be.

I went there last night for my birthday and had the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant.

We had to wait over 2 hours for our food to arrive. Whenever we complained the waiters/manageress just waved their hands at us and walked off. One of the dishes had been under the hot plates for so long it was stuck to the plate - we were told that 'it happens sometimes'.

We complained after the meal, and left without leaving any service and the money for the ruined food. Which of course had the manager running after us down the street. Most attention we'd had from the staff all night! Of course we told him where he could go...

This place used to be really good fun. Shame.

Went for a meal with four last night. Most dishes arrived cold and covered in plastic cheese. Both myself and a friend experienced stomach pains shortly after meal which later developed into vomiting and further stomach cramps. Manager appeared disinterested and offered no consolation. Therefore have to say both food and service is awfull. Avoid like the plague.

I agree but to be honest being sat outside on Clapham High Street with all the traffic isn't that great even on a nice day... if you're going to do that I'd def suggest heading to Clapham Old Town instead. Much less traffic and nicer views!

Been here quite a few times, the place has a very lively feel to it, especially when busy on a Friday or Saturday night. The food is very nice and there are many good beers to choose from. Very nice place to sit outside and have a cool bottle of Sol in the summer months.
