Mexican food does not get better than this. A pleasant change from the usual chain restaurants that dominate Kingston and every other high street now.

It is a Querky canteena style restaurant complete with flashing neon light that greets you on your approach and a pleasant relaxed style to dining awaits. Great food and atmosphere perfect for that mid week wind down

Having just moved to the area and looking for somewhere good to eat, we found El Mariachi and were fortunate enough to find a great place to eat. The service was right on the money, the food was generously proportioned and of good quality and value and the staff more friendly and attentive than most restaurants I have attended anywhere in London. The staff are welcoming and the restaurant is very child friendly. The decor is crazy mexican style which is a refreshing change to the predictable 'contemporary' style of most restaurants. Cozy, great food, fabulous staff and a very convenient location for Kingston train station and local parking...it's a winner and I will be a regular.

This is one of my favourite Mexican restaurants. The food is fantastic. We have eaten both in the restaurant and had takeaway and I would recommend both. The restaurant it’s self is very nice, a bit rustic and cosy, with no shortage of sombreros. The staff are very nice, although not the most efficient. The portions were of a good size, you get quite a lot with tapas. The cocktail jugs have a bit too much ice in them but are very yummy. If you are a fan of Mexican cuisine I would recommend giving them a try, I think they are very good value for money.

Disappointing from the start! Every table was ridiculously small being barely big enough for two people. The service was utterly abismal with wait staff attempting to clear glasses before they were even empty and taking away plates whilst others in our party were still eating, an utterly heinous crime in any reastaurant! As the night went on the music got progressively louder to the point we could no longer talk as it was completely obtrusive. The portion control was hit and miss with some of our party having starters larger than their main course. The food was merely ok given the price. The fajita accompiniments comprised of a tablespoon of salsa, guacamole, cheese and limp lettuce
