Reku Zen

I’m very upset and angry the way me and my family was treated today In the Chinese me and my family and friends have used for years ! For some reason the made us stand and wait before even taking any notice of us and sitting people down without having to pay but then showing us to our table making us pay our bill before we even seated we were the only ones of many that had to do this, Feeling shocked embarrassed and very took back on this situation,I noticed every other table had bills out on the table and not once was we asked if our food was ok or was we ok for drinks ! I felt really uncomfortable and disappointed as I had a family member and small child with her that I done nothing but big up the restaurant before taking her there tonight , I will not be going back and if I wasn’t so embarrassed I would have been asking to speak to a manager I will add that the restaurant was not overly busy and there were plenty of spare tables I would like an explanation

Really nice restaurant and accommodating of large parties. Kids were kept happy and drinks were flowing, but could have restock food quicker apart from that a really nice place to go with the family

Not bad overall food was decent drinks were large floor was very slipery good staff owner ruins mood for everyone mind

we have been hear so many times and each time its faultless, great value , great food just go and eat .......

I have visited this restaurant many times the food has always been first class, plenty of variety, very good quality produce and always replenished immediately - love the hot plate where food is cooked to your choice - even pancakes if you want. The red house wine is excellent - very good value

I've seen from my own eyes that the lady boss picked up the dropped food from the floor and put them back into the plate n served to the customers!! She bumped into another waitress at the entrace of kitchen when she took out the food and dropped some pieces of seseme prawn toast and she just turned her body (with intention to block the view) and picked them up with her fingers....yakkkkss!! imagine how many biilion of germs had sticked to the toast!! The worst part is, she is the lady boss! Shouldn't a boss setting a good example to the other staff??

I went to the restaurant in October 2010 I had a pleasant experience food was spot on I ate like a pig! Would recommend to anyone I went on a Sunday was well worth the money Can't believe people are moaning about water buy a bottle.

I have been to the restaurant twice now and really enjoyed it the food is great and the staff are friendly and look after you well.

The only thing that I could say was that I sat near the corridor by the toilets and it was very drafty we ask to move which was done with no problem.
I look forward to my next visit.

As far as an Oriental buffet goes, it wasn't full of onions to bulk up the food. That, in itself, was a bonus. In general, the food was ok and value for money considering we went on Saturday (rather than Sunday) for lunch. Some of the food was rather spicy and was not specifically highlighted ! The drinks were extremely disappointing. I ordered orange JUICE, but I received orange SQUASH; furthermore, similar to other diners' experience, tap water could only be provided if an alcoholic drink was purchased ! What if a child was diabetic ? What if an adult was also diabetic and alcohol intolerant ! Tut tut ! Highly disappointing ! Style of management could also be improved, i.e. be more welcoming ! Overall, could do better !

We booked a table for eight people tonight at this restaurant. The food was very good. However, we were celebrating our daughter's birthday and the customer service was very disappointing. We had ordered spirits and wines throughout the evening but wanted a jug of water also for the table as some of the food was very spicy. The staff did not want to provide water. I asked the waitress why this was she said it was by order of her boss. I asked to speak to him but she would not get him to our table. She walked away from me whilst I was speaking to her. I found this extremely ignorant. They may have saved themselves 1p on supplying a jug of water but lost at least £20 in tips and I will not take my family back there so they have also lost my custom. This seems like bad business practice to me. I notice other people here have also commented about the water situation. This stingy, unco-operative and unwelcoming behaviour detracts from the good quality food.

We have been many times to this restaurant and couldn't fault it. We like Sushi and it is unusual to find this at a buffet restaurant but here it is very good. We last went with my grandchildren and were very pleased that they could have sausages and chips, this made them happy and so were we!! I do think tap water should be available and take one point off for this. Nine out of Ten.

Like many buffets, how good Reku Zen is depends on how busy it is. When it's busy there's a fast turnover of food so it's freshly cooked, delicious, a wide selection and good value. When it's quiet the food gets dried up and unpleasant, and last time I was there empty dishes were not replenished so the choice was poor (it was only about 9pm, so it's not as if they were running down ready to close). I would give it 9 stars when busy, only 3 when quiet, but my overall grade is towards the high end because next time I go I'll look at how busy it is first.

We had a lovely meal at Reku Zen.....the food is superb and very good value. There is a wide range of dishes to choose from and the sweet trolly had about eight different things including many different ice creams, fresh fruit, profiteroles and a chocolate fountain! The only down side was the fact that 3 of our party were drinking beer but my daughter just wanted some tap water and they refused to serve us this insisting that we buy mineral water...I found this attitude a little upsetting and it did spoil what was a good meal.

I think Reku Zen is just amazing , i've never been to a resturant with the most delicious food, Outstanding Service and polite&friendly workers!!

and im quite a fussy eater but i absutlutly loved their food it was SPLENDID!!!!
