Seasons of Wanstead

We visited Seasons on Friday night. The food was fine and what you should expect at this price but the service was terrible. We even informed the main waiter that we had to keep asking the staff for menus, cutlery, drinks etc. and the service still didn't improve. We won't be going back.

The restaurant now has a very pleasant pavement area which enhances the overall appearance. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind enough to sit outside when we visited.
The menu which changes frequently is compact with daily specials. Since I was last there the quality and presentation of the food has got better and the atmosphere buzzy. Last Saturday I had the chicken liver and fois gras parfait for starters with the pork and scallops main with marshmallows and sorbet for dessert. Absolutely delicious The service was not intrusive and just right.
I shall be going back again next month as there will probably be several new dishes to choose from.
I do hope this restaurant succeeds because the formula is different and the quality of their food excellent.
