I don't like to give bad reviews and I think we always should give a second chance. It was what I did. I went for the second time to this Italian restaurant in Ruppert Street and the experience was as bad as the first time I have been there.
The food is ok but the service is really bad. Just to sum up we were debating about not to pay the tip because the waiter was very rude (and he was rude the first time I ve been there as well).
He just threw the bill in the table and said: The total is 55 but you can pay 65 pounds!
We checked the bill and they already added 12.5% service charge without asking. I told the waiter the service was already included and he said:
-Yes it is, but in America they pay 20%!!
The service was really bad and they still wanted us to pay an extra 10 pounds on top of the bill that was already with the service charge!
Shouldn't the Tip be optional? It is so rude from the restaurants now to include the tips...

I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend, and found it to be a wonderfully humble place. The pizza's are very tasty, and the service is great. I visit Italy a lot, and I think it's a great example of an Italian restaurant.

To be very honest the reviews above are a load of ****!! Biagio Ristorante Pizzeria's is a lovely place and is also a family run business, everythings fresh and made on the day! I've be using the Biagio group for years and would recommend to them to anyone and everyone.

The single worse eating experience of my life. No wait, let me re-phrase that - the single worse experience of my life. I knew it was a mistake when my girlfriend and I ordered 2 diet cokes and were brought 2 regular cokes that were flat. My girlfriend had chicken pizza which was dry and under cooked but that was nothing compared to my lamb steak. It looked ok on arrival but after wrestling with it for ten minutes and managing to only procure two mouthfuls of meat I gave up. It was just one big lump of fat and gristle. The potato's were undercooked along with the broccoli and weighing in at a whopping £17 it was nothing short of daylight robbery. We exited within 30 minutes of arrival (service was rushed) having payed £37 for a despicable meal.

I felt so angry and ripped off I had to leave the restaurant before my girlfriend had even returned from the toilet, I had to leave before I exploded.

Do not eat at this restaurant. I kid you not that lamb steak was so bad I was looking around for hidden cameras.

I can only agree with the comments left by the other contributers. My wife and I were asked to wait on the stairs in the restaurant while a table was found for us.Other people came in after us and were found a table, when I mentioned this to the manager he was extremely rude and told me "if I you are not happy then you know what you can do" which of course I did. My wife and I left and went just around the corner to Bella Italia in Shaftsbury Avenue and had great service and a lovely meal.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been in the waiters were rude and arrogant. The food was terrible. The starters which was escargot was awful . The worst thing about this restaurant is the service and the staffs bad attitude you felt like you were being rushed the whole time. For the first time I did not want to leave a tip so deleted the 12% service chg from the bill. The waiters were speaking in italian and being abusive as we did not feel a tip was justified. My advise is to stay well away from this appalling restaurant.

In all my years of eating out, I have never ever had such appalling service as we did at Biagio Pizzeria. The waiter/manager took our order quickly, rudely and thus wrongly. My mushroom pizza came in the guise of a pepperoni - as a vegetarian, I believe I know the difference - and when I finally did get the right one it was simply a base with some mozarella drizzled on it and raw muishrooms thrown on top. Repulsive. My sister had a lone piece of chicken with nothing else. When we removed the service charge from the bill (which I too have never done - being a waitress for many years) were were shouted at and told to get out the door. Biagio gives London reataurants a bad name! Disgusting!

The waiter(later we were told he was the manager)gave us very little time to chose and tutted every time we asked for more time. The bruscetta was dry, stale, minimal cheese and thrown on some floppy lettuce. The pasta was undercooked and the lasagne looked and tasted like dog food.(They really should learn about fresh ingredients)The service was the most sickening part of the evening as it was quite obvious that as a woman if you didn’t play the game and let him pawn and grope you(harsh, I don’t think so)then you were not entitled to a polite service which I believe should come as standard.Hence we refused to pay the service charge & shall never dine there again....EVER!
