All In London Review
Noisy, cramped, with exquisite food
A rich, soft duck egg yolk is paired with fleshy girolles and truffle shavings, it is simply amazing in both flavour and texture. We unanimously decide the pork belly is one of the best we’ve tasted recently, crisp on top, with flaky, perfect meat that has just the slightest bit of unctuous fattiness. The cheese platter has chunks of sweaty, very mature Manchego and the strong-flavoured blue Picos de Europa, paired with a slab of membrillo, or sweet quince jelly. Be warned however, with each dish averaging £5 to £7 it’s easy to build up a hefty bill - turning up ravenous is not recommended.
Then there is the wine selection, all of which is available by the glass, carafe or bottle. The level of body of each wine is indicated, and the price ranges between £18 for the youngest to £50 for a five year aged Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blend. We opt for a mid-range Viognier/Garnacha from Catalonia, which is full-bodied yet balanced enough for the robust flavours of the food. Wine aside, there are 15 varieties of sherry, orujo, which is the Spanish equivalent of grappa, and Pacharan, a sweet anise-based liquor flavoured with sloe berries and vanilla.
If you like lively environments you’ll love Copita, but best of all is the exquisite food.

The tapas at Copita are very good, as is the selection of wine and sherry. It gets very busy and raucous of an evening, which makes it easier to strike up conversation with your neighbours.
London's best bar food
Something to help the drink go down...
This Soho tapas bar gets incredibly busy of an evening and rightly so, as all their wines are available by the glass and the food is magnificent. Classic tapas dishes are available like croquettes and grilled octopus, as well as more universal options such as soft duck egg yolk with girolles and pork jowl with croutons.
