Lokkanta Meze & Barbecue

I grew up in Germany where a large percentage of the country is turkish immigrants. Me and my family constantly indulged in turkish cuisine, so I'd like to think I know a thing or two about turkish food.

Enter this place you can quickly see it's a mix of modern and old. The owner greeted me wholeheartedly. He recommended the meat platter with a mix of all their meats. I ordered a garlic yogurt and he upgraded me to a platter of all their appetizers for free to test them all.

The meat comes on a bed of rice and is fantastic.

We decided to try out the new kids on the block this evening. The restaurant had one empty table which we gratefully accepted. We ordered the platter 2 between 3 of us. Before this arrived we were given a complimentary cold meze mix by our host. The usual humus and cacik plus patlican soslu & ezme. All different but wonderful flavours. The bread is so hot, slightly toasted which helps scooping up on your plate.

Well worth a visit. We have ordered take away and had an eat in meal. Both occasions the food was excellent.
All food is prepared on site and cooked in front of you, so you can see exactly what you've ordered and how it cooks!

Lovely restaurant. We went for lunch with my wife and really enjoyed the food. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Will go again!

This place is a great addition to Westbourne Grove! I love the food and decor. Really well thought out. The prices are so competitive compared to other restaurants and they don't charge service charge! Wow..

Great place to dine. We brought our own wine. Food was brill. Very cheap. No service charge like others in the area.

Very cheap, decor, food and service first rate. I had special grill which has a selection of meats for £12.50 eat in, which includes pilau rice and salad.

At last a Turkish in Westbourne Grove, and what a Turkish! Great decor, great service. Staff so helpful. Food amazing.
