Head Chef, Yousuf Mohammed (Dishoom, Tamarind and Bombay Brasserie) was brought up in Hyderabad where his father taught him to cook. It is this experience coupled with his subsequent travels across the country and beyond, that provide the menu inspiration and attention to detail that has seen Tsaretta Spice go from strength to strength.

All In London Review
Excellent modern Indian restaurant
I took two companions on a relatively quiet weekday evening. The modern décor is understated and refreshing. The ceiling-to-floor windows onto a small square mean that there is plenty of light. The staff were superb – providing an excellent service with a gentle humility that was endearing.
The wine was really excellent – a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (£6.90) and a South African Grenache (£5.50).
The tapas menu (dishes from £6.95) is only available during the day and in the evening there is a more traditional starter and mains selection.
The soft shell crab (£9.95) was delicious with a crispy batter and tender interior. My companion – who is Coeliac – was delighted to learn that it was cooked in corn flour and therefore suitable for him. The Patta Chaat (£6.95 - fried baby spinach and chickpeas with tamarind chutney and sweet yogurt) was a substantial size with fresh and complimentary flavours.
My companion’s Kasundi Paneer Aur Shimla Mirch Tikka (£9.95) was well received. As was the chicken masala (£14.95). My Mangalorean prawn curry with coconut (£17.50) was rich, creamy and delicately spiced.
We also enjoyed light, fluffy Peshawari naans (£7.50), saffron pilau (£3.50), mushroom garlic pilau (£3.50), aloo gobi (£6.95) and bhindi tilwali (£6.95).
Head Chef, Yousuf Mohammed grew up in Hyderabad and refined his skills in some of the UK’s finest Indian Restaurants including Dishoom, Tamarind and Bombay Brasserie.
The meal for three came to £116.95 without service but the quality of the environment, service and food more than justified the price.
There are several good Indian restaurants in Twickenham but this new addition is truly outstanding and will become one of my regulars.
