I have eaten here for many years. Initially just because it was next to The Tricycle. Now I consider it to be a food destination. Why? Because it serves the best pizza I have ever eaten and that includes Bologna!!!
Thin generously topped, freshly made and delicious.
House red excellent and service "come a casa"
Book a table if peak time and enjoy the best pizza in London next to one of the best theatres

We were going to the Tricycle Cinema next door and decided we wanted a quick bite to eat.

We were in and out of the door (at our request!) in 25 mins, with a very good and sensibly priced pizza.

Highly recommended, and will definitely tie in eating here with going to the cinema again (and you get 10% off with a Tricycle cinema ticket).

Great friendly service too.

I visited Casareccia as it was the only nice looking place on the high street with a sunny terrace.
I ordered the antipasti de casareccia which was absolutely appalling. The selection on vegetables and salami was uneatably old and warmed in the microwave. I could not eat any of it. As I complained to the waitress about the old microwaved vegetables and the use of mushy tinned mushrooms she replied nothing, just rushed the food away. The house white wine tasted like vinegar. Main course was slightly better, almost average but ridiculously priced at 11 pounds for a pasta when I probably could've eaten a tastier dish and gotten better service at the chicken shop opposite. There seemed to be a few take away pizza orders during the time I was dining so perhaps the pizzas are eatable. Otherwise I would strongly recommend everyone to avoid this place. Interestingly enough the other five excellent reviews of this place seem to be from the same author.

Visited for a late Saturday lunch and found the service prompt and attentive. Had a wood fired pizza with goats cheese and rocket and the swordfish with vegetables. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty - the pizza light and delicious and the swordfish in a delicately seasononed wine sauce with a large variety of fresh vegetables. Both meals were cooked to perfection.

We had piping hot coffees to follow and the bill was not bad at all. Would definitely recommend this as a post Tricycle cinema/theatre venue or if you happen to be passing.
