I love the food at the Satay House and have been going there for the last forty years. Tried most of the dishes on their menu and can honestly say they are delicious. Take all my friends and family there and they all enjoy the food. So if you fancy a good night out with really, really tasty food, try the Satay house.

I have just moved into the area & love this place. For the price it's great. The fried rice is basic but tasty. Am in love with the Chicken Almond & Satay Curry. Also have tried a few noodle dishes and stir-fry dishes and liked them. The hot dishes are only mildly hot but I have chilli in my cupboard. Definitely recommend.

Very nice friendly restaurant with very anglicised food. There is no taste at all. Chicken wrapped in tofu: tasted of nothing: the sauce was advertised with garlic and chilli: but you couldn't taste it.
There are so many places to go for original cuisine: only go here if you a bland angilicised meal. 25th February 2010.

Been using this one for years and food is ok for its price. Sticky rice and dansak soup is what keeps me going back. For the english taste buds I feel you'll not be disappointed. There is a guy who looks asian and not far eastern but has been a loyal worker there for over 20 years!
Shame about none delivery because I would order more than from the Chinese around here. Visiting is ok a night and the staff are cool and don't hassle you. I've heard that their other shop - in Crouch End, up the hill - is better because the owner is base there.
Parking can be done outside on the single yellows after 6.30pm for about 100 cars but road can be sometimes quite busy.

Never eaten in this restaurant but just had take-away from it (as Satay Malaysia down the road doesn’t deliver) and was quite simply the worst take-away I have had in a long time.
Perhaps the main problem was that I found them whilst looking for Malaysian restaurants- they quite clearly, despite the name, are not a Malaysian restaurant.
The Nasi Goreng consisted of special fried rice with a few added spices, the Rendang Daging tasted much like curry powder. If you are looking for your average Chinese take-away this place may succeed in ticking some boxes but Malaysian cuisine is clearly something they know very little about…and the same goes for local delivery!
