The brainchild of Tim Bacon, an actor who at the time was 'resting' between work, The Living Room is a chain of modern bars with live music that are staffed by 'resting' actors. Serving a variety of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails as well as a variety of dishes (complete with kids menu), this chain proves popular with all who frequent it.

Me and my husband were staying in London for our 1st wedding anniversary last October when we stumbled across The Living Room tucked away down Heddon Street and decided to pop in for a bit of lunch...well what can i say?? The service was brilliant, the staff made us feel special even though we were only having a light lunch, the home made chips were to die for and what can i say about the toilets?! Bloody amazing!! One of the highlights of our weekend!! We're planning on visiting again when we have our 2nd anniverary wkend break at the end of the month!! You just SO have to go!! :-)

I did really like it here in that the interior was welcoming and the loos are amazing!! However, I did get pretty irritated when I came on a hen do and the doormen made such a fuss about the hen wearing a veil. We were all (in my opinion!) decently dressed, relatively sober and well-spoken, and it was just a simple little veil thing that she was wearing on her head. Apparently it was against policy to allow her to wear it though. We quickly tried to get a picture with her wearing it inside later and they marched over straight away and threatened to throw us out! This place really isn't that posh or up-market to make such a fuss about this - we went to a swanky cocktail bar before and they were really friendly and good-humoured about it. all.
