I took my 2 pre-school daughters for Sunday lunch (1.5 yrs & 4yrs) I was a little apprehensive by myself but had no need to be! Wonderful welcoming staff, child friendly food, prompt service and even a lolly pop with the children's pudding so i could enjoy mine too Thank you!

Has its good points . just be carful what you order
went the the other night
I opted for the half rack of ribs which came with wedged potatoe's and salad, which was vary good ( very large portions and good value @ £10.50)
My friend orderd a 8oz fillet steak cooked medium rare with jacket potatoe and salard , when this arrived we were 99.9% sure this was a piece of sirloin which had had the fat trimmed off and it was so over cooked that we had to send it back ,
which left me to consume most part of my meal on my own until a repacment was cooked.
Once again this was over cooked but not as bad of the first trying not to spoil the evening my friend accepted the meal but i could tell she was'nt enjoying the experience.
Dillingers has it good points if you like your food well done and
I would use this place again if only for the ribs

If you want a brilliant night out I would start off at Dillingers, the food is perfectly cooked and if you don't approve the waitresses wisk your plate off and return it
within minutes unlike most restaurants.the portions are very generous and the atmosphere is excellent no bad vibes what so ever.Dillingers I found is very child friendly aswell as a good place to go with your mates.the deserts are a perfect following to the meals again genoursley portioned.beware Dillingers is addictive lol.
Finally I would say I've read the previous reviews and the bad reviews are very shocking as I've been going to Dillingers since I was a toddler I am now 25 and I have never experienced anything that would make me have a bad word to say especially since the new refurb as it used to be quite cramped.

What a joke, never again. We booked our table at 6pm and had to vacate it by 7.30pm and considering we were a large group this is rubbish. Our children didn't have enough time to finish their ice creams & we weren't allowed to order a final drink. The food was OK but the atmosphere is very fast food & rushed - don't know why they just don't open a drive in area and be done with. You're better off saving your money and going to the golden arches. Apparently they've been operating like this for 20 yrs. Good luck!

A VERY disappointing meal. They had no sugar free drinks so my diabetic husband was offered water ! Three out of four meals turned up and the fourth arrived 10 mins later. Out of the three desserts ordered all three were incorrect even though she repeated our order back to us and my husband had to leave the table to find a waitress to correct their error. The supervisor (no manager availabe) when called apologised and asked if we wanted it rectified - surely that was obvious ? The pancakes when replaced with correct additions had obviously been nuked in the microwave and were very dry. The bill came to to £92 - we wont be returning.

I wish I didn't waste my time this evening. I have just moved to Hayes a few weeks ago and fancied a bite to eat, we have heard great things about Dillingers but tonight we must have walked in to a different restaurant because the food we were served I would have eaten if i wanted to give myself a heart attack. Ive never seen potato wedges so greasy and ribs so fatty.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I half liked, really amazed how it gets such a good name.

Went to Dillingers for Valentines night and it was great. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really lively but the food was indescribable. We both had the steak and I can honestly say it was the best steak i ever had. The portions are huge. Will def go back soon. Its a must go

I'm gutted that the other person who left a commen had a bad experience - Genuinely must have hit it on an unlucky night....
Been coming here for almost 20 years since I was a young boy - I eat out in many top restaurants in London and still this place finds a place in my heart because of it's hearty food served as it should be.....Always great food, kids love it and adults just as much - the portions are generous and whether you have a Burger (there must be 10-12 different fillings/toppings to choose from) or a T-Bone (divine) you cannot go wrong. All at a very reasonable price (never more that £20 per head with deserts)
The only thing is it can be a little cramped although i think that's less of an issue now since it was refurbed.
Going tonight as it's been a while since I got my Dillinger's fix !

Just come in from an evening in the 'restaurant' Dillingers........
I use to live in West Wickham and have been there a couple of times, however after tonight.......NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! I have had better meals in a cafe during my working day.
I understood this evening they were under staffed but we were in there for just over an hour and listened to four other tables complain.
Service was slower than the pace of a snail.......
Food was not under cooked.........
cold.......
Go to a Mc Donalds if your thinking of s burger for better service....

This place serves the best American food in London/Kent, and at a very reasonable cost. I had the the BBQ Pork ribs, and made the mistake of ordering the full rack! Full means full. The ribs were hanging off the plate and I couldn't eat them all even though they were so delicious. We also had burgers and shakes which were equally as good. If you like American food, give this place a go, you shouldn't be disappointed.
Highly recommended!!
