The Charcoal Grill

I live in Southgate and when it comes to Chicken or Lamb Shish Kebab this is the best place that I've been to, and I have been to a lot of kebab restaurants around London.

The owner is a genuinely friendly guy. There is another kebab place just across the road but I definitely prefer Charcoal as the food is better and you can eat in with friends and family if you want to.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the only other reviewer on here has against the charcoal grill. It's a pretty good establishment (live nearby and make it in, maybe once a month). Food is pricier than a kebab shop, but clearly better quality. It's maybe a little on the salty side, but then I've got a pretty wimpy non-Turkish palate.

The one main thing, though, is that the staff are actually really nice people. Owner is a very good natured, friendly guy.

On the whole, I'd say it's about a 7.5 (though the service is better).

awful, awful, awful! Uncaring service with unnecessary attitude, ordered a chicken shish, to be greeted half way down the Bourne by what can only be described as an ice cold pita erupting with garlic saturated baby fingers.

Rubbish.Terrible service, rude staff, undercooked meat - don't go here. Absolutely awful.
