Where: The Parrot at The Waldorf Hilton
At the moment it seems like celebs are launching bars like moths are drawn to flames, but one drinking hole that's standing firmly apart from its competitors is actor Idris Elba's upcoming The Parrot, if only for its sheer eccentricity. The theme is tropical, with a menu of 15 signature cocktails each inspired by a different type of parrot (we are not yet privvy to which ones, or how). A live house band will perform every night, but VIP guests will have access to secret music shows, a hidden menu, and even a chauffeur-driven car.
