Eat a 'happy meal' at the Shard's restaurant

Chips 'n' booze. We're happy.
This must try is connected to: Oblix

A new culinary phenomenon appeared in 2024: the New York happy meal. As far as we can see the only resemblance this bears to the eponymous McDonald's meal is the portion of fries, as it consists of a martini (seemingly any version, including dirty and espresso), and a bowl of French fries. It's a pretty perfect late night combo, but naturally eateries around the Big Apple seized upon the trend to offer their own take, and it's naturally made its way across the pond via Oblix, the luxury restaurant at the Shard.

The Oblix take is a dirty martini with herby fries. Or you could really splurge and order crispy buttermilk chicken with a generous serving of oscietra caviar, washed down with a glass of champagne. Which has naff all to do with the original, but it's indulgences like these that make one happy.

There's also a luxury chicken adn caviar option.
