Bingo, that staple of community halls, has been given a big old high tech makeover at Hijingo, a Shoreditch venue that adds flashing lights and pounding music to the classic British game.
Games are 90 minutes long and can be booked for brunch or evening sessions, with brunch including food and bottomless prosecco and beer. The game itself retains a similar format, with participants playing for cash prizes and even holidays, but a key difference is the AI-powered (what else?) host calling out the numbers. Who wouldn’t want to add artificial intelligence to a simple game of chance?
