Where: Trejo's Tacos
What does Hollywood star Danny Trejo, a posh West London neighbourhood, and a surf and turf burrito all have in common? As you will have deduced from the title, the star of From Dusk Till Dawn is behind this new taqueria on Portobello Road, his first branch outside its original home of LA.
His concept - inspired by his family's cooking and LA Mexican culture - has been hugely successful for nearly 10 years, and now Trejo is hoping he can repeat this on the other side of the pond. The menu features brunch dishes (chorizo hash anyone?), rice bowls topped with carnitas, grilled chicken or shrimp, entrees like whole chargrilled spiced sea bass, and of course the all important tacos, with fillings like battered fish and chicken tikka. It also boasts a vast selection of tequilas and margaritas, naturally.
