Eat at a Batman-inspired restaurant

Fancy an "I'm Batman"?
This must try is connected to: Park Row

Depending on who you ask (or which Reddit thread you read), Batman aka Bruce Wayne's favourite food is either gazpacho, borscht or Mulligatawny soup. In spite of this, soups have been left off the menu at Park Row, a Batman-inspired restaurant in Soho, perhaps because it's hard to create a theatrical experience out of a bowl of liquid stew, which is very much the running theme here. Instead there are curious-sounding dishes like 'Rabbit from a Hat' (rabbit and leek croquette with black garlic mayonnaise) and 'I'm Batman' (a mushroom parfait with apple and onion ketchup on toast).

In keeping with comic book fantasy, dishes are not served on, well, dishes; instead favouring imaginative receptables like a tentacled sashimi platter and a tree log supporting bat-shaped canapes. The art deco interior is suitably spectacular too, but before you can shout "gimmick", note that the executive chef is Alyn Williams, who rose to fame with his Michelin-starred Alyn Williams at the Westbury.
