If you think that the jam in the middle of a supermarket doughnut is the best then we’re just going to have to disagree. Especially if you’ve not risen early on a Saturday and hotfooted it down to Bread Ahead’s Borough Market stall to try their doughnuts.
Are they the best in London? Well, they come from the hands of former St. John’s baker Justin Gellatly – a man regularly cited as one of the capital’s finest bakers – they come in seasonal flavours and we can only ever buy three, no four, at once. The best? They just might be.
