Take up Qigong

Feel your flow

Where: North London Buddhist Centre

Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is a traditional Chinese practice that involves  movement, meditation and controlled breathing with the aim of promoting the "flow" (or "qi") of energy around the body. The exercise technnique is thousands of years old and has roots in ancient Chinese philosophy as well as martial arts, although it's a fairly gentle, low impact exercise, making it suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

The North London Buddhist Centre in Islington has weekly classes as well as more in-depth monthly workshops that usually focus on a particular theme. One example is "Animal Frolics", inspired by the playful movements of tigers, bears and other creatures. A fun restorative for both mind and body.
