Bit of a weird one this, but it is well worth a visit.
Many of London’s cemeteries are absolutely incredible to stroll through – not least because you might spot a famous name amongst the gravestones – but mainly because they are built with such grandeur and finesse.
Highgate has featured in many TV dramas, so you might find yourself familiar with your surroundings. And here you can find the graves of many famous names - philosopher and sociologist Karl Marx, novelist George Eliot, painter Lucien Freud and TV host Jeremy Beadle are amongst the 53,000 people interred.
