The arrival of hot weather always brings with it multiple round-ups of London's best lidos, but we think Hampton Pool, despite only "just" being within the confines of the capital, is definitely one that stands out.
Open 365 days a year come rain or shine (it's heated, thankfully), for part of the year it also opens through the night for "moonlight swimming", and the sessions are so popular they often sell out. In the summer the pool hosts a programme of live concerts that have included big names like Natalie Imbruglia, The Feeling, Courtney Pine and The Stranglers.
Pack a picnic, go for a dip, soak up some music and sunshine and grab a drink from the bar - a perfect summer's day, some might say.
