We like it when things do what they say on the tin, so you can imagine how thrilled we were to come across this little institution – a bookshop targeted directly at the culinary confident. Books for Cooks is a 1983-set up, and they sell everything from classic Delia to Michelin star hardbacks.
If you love cooking, you’ll be right at home in here. Even better, they serve a three-course lunch in the kitchen out back – for £7. Bargain, brilliant.
