While most of us might not be able to afford to speculate in the business of fine art, we can still insert ourselves into the moneyed world with a trip to one of the many exclusive galleries in Mayfair. Our favourite place to visit for a free exhibition has to be the Halcyon Gallery on New Bond Street. While huge deals get done in the private room above the gallery, you can stroll around looking at works by the likes of Picasso, Miro, Matisse and Lichtenstein.
Open Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am-5pm, it’s one of the best ways to see great art in London for free.
