MasterChef fans alert: this new restaurant comes not from one of the contestants, but from judge Monica Galetti, who's become a household name thanks to her frequently harsh verdicts on the participants' attempts. Before her stint on the box she was senior sous chef at Michel Roux Jr's Le Gavroche, one of the capital's most famous eateries. Mere will be run by Galetti and her sommelier husband, with a casual ground floor bar and a dining room in the basement. Details of the menu are under wraps at the moment, but Galetti has said food will be seasonal and influenced by classic dishes. From February you'll have the chance to turn the tables and give her your judgement.
